Car borrowed long term

Car insurance follows the car not the driver.

It's not that simple.

1- Insurance on the car (collision and theft) follow the car. Because it is what it being insured.

2- Liability insurance follows the driver. Because their actions are what's being insured.

3- Most policies have various levels of "incidental" use provisions. If I let a licensed, but uninsured, driver borrow my car, he is sort of grandfathered into my policy. But that probably doesn't count for 9 months worth of use. Probably what you'd have to do it add him into your policy as a user of the vehicle.

3b- Similarly, if I am an insured driver and I borrow a car that has no insurance whatsoever going on, my liability will be covered by my policy. But that car will not be covered.

4- If the car is going to be "living" with him, you might need to update your policy to show where its garaged location is.

Inspirational people

I have met many inspirational people in life and I'm gonna record one of them down today.

It's a guy called Larry. He refurbishes bikes and sells them on Craigslist.

Craigslist post

He is retired and he fixes bikes because he'd love to see more youth out there biking instead of being on their phones inside all day. I really admire his intention. He has 4 children of his own and has fostered 12 children before. Very much respect for him and very much inspiration from him.

He brought 2 bikes to let us test ride. We used the parking lot at Costco:) We end up settling on the bike that's not on the Craigslist post above. It's a blue one and on the sitting cushion it writes Schwinn. It's a bike brand that I learned today. I would say out of all the posts I browsed on Craigslist today, 3/5 are of that brand. Anyways, he let me know that he drives a red and black Chevy pickup so it was easy to spot! And thank God that the bike fits just fine in the Accord! I didn't even need to take the cushion off to fit it in. Of course it was because Larry helped us get it in. If it were just me, I probably would take a much longer time to figure it out.

ReStart

I just wanted to update a couple reminders for myself:

(1) When things get hard, see them as opportunities for personal growth.

(2) When things are shitty, it makes my existence valuable when I clean them up.

Dajavu files

so the first day of my second year in college was on Wednesday the 23rd of September.

I was looking over the materials of the physics course I'm taking, and saw that we're using online bundles that include homework and textbook. There is 3 options - to buy both the textbook and homework, homework only, a physical copy of textbook with access code to the homework.

I was looking at etext and homework, but then I remembered that some friend has hold me about the Library Genesis. I was able to save 20 bucks because of this website. It's amazing!

The downloaded file will be in .djvu, for which a good viewer would be Sumatra PDF. It's open source and wrote in C++ under GNU os.

Anyway, I really needed to put up links here for anyone that's looking for resources like this.
